The 1+1 is the two-up version of the F4 R 312, with a passenger seat and pegs added to the Euro 3-homologated 312 R. Engine, chassis and brakes (Brembo radial calipers, Marzocchi fork, Sachs shock, engine braking system) carry over. A road test of the 312 praised the engine and brakes but criticised weight and low-speed fuelling.
